The driver-facing camera is designed to support attention, fatigue and basic safety-compliance monitoring in the cabin. It is configurable per fleet, and it is not a guarantee against every incident.

Signals it can be configured to identify

  • Drowsiness and fatigue indicators.
  • Distraction and eyes-off-road.
  • Phone use while driving.
  • Seatbelt use.
  • Camera obstruction or occlusion.

Introducing it well

Camera programmes fail on trust far more often than on detection quality. Tell drivers what is being captured, what it will and will not be used for, who can see it, and how a false positive gets corrected — before the hardware is fitted rather than after the first event lands.
