Road-facing and driver-facing capture, event clips, and what is and is not retained.

A Monarch unit pairs a road-facing lens with a driver-facing lens in a single housing. Perception runs on the device rather than in the cloud, which is what lets detection continue where there is no connectivity.

Events, not archives

The system is built around event capture. When a detection fires, the clip surrounding that moment is retained and delivered for review. It is not designed as an unbounded archive of a driver's whole shift, and the retention window for event footage is a configuration decision your organization makes.

Alongside the footage

  • The detection that fired, and when.
  • Vehicle and driver context, so the event is attributed correctly.
  • Motion and location context from the unit's own sensors.
  • The trip in progress at the time, where there was one.
