Detection runs on the unit, so events continue to be identified and recorded without a connection. Delivery of the event and its clip catches up when the vehicle is back in coverage.
A camera with no events
No events is an ambiguous signal: it can mean an uneventful week, or a unit that has stopped reporting. Check the device's last-seen time rather than inferring from the absence of events.
- Last seen recently, no events — genuinely quiet.
- Last seen days ago — power, mounting or connectivity. Raise it with the shop.
- Reporting but every clip is obstructed — check for an occlusion detection, which is usually a mount knocked out of alignment.
