The live map and vehicle tracking

The live map shows every active vehicle's current position alongside the trips in progress. Positions come from the driver app on the driver's phone and stream to the Console over a persistent connection, so the map updates continuously rather than on a page refresh.

Reading the board

• A vehicle marker carries its unit and the driver currently signed into it.
• Selecting a vehicle shows its remaining route for the day, in order.
• Trip markers distinguish pickups from drop-offs, and show which are running behind.

When positions look stale

The interface tells you when the connection has dropped rather than continuing to show last-known positions as though they were current. If a single vehicle stops updating while others continue, the problem is that device: usually location permission revoked after a phone update, battery saver suspending the app, or genuinely no coverage.
