A will-call is a return trip whose time is genuinely unknown when it is created — the rider goes home when the clinic is finished with them. Treating it as a normal trip with a guessed time produces a plan built around a number nobody believes.

Creating one

Create the trip as usual but mark it will-call and leave the pickup time empty. It sits outside the scheduled plan, visible in its own list, and is not placed onto any vehicle's timeline.

Activating one

  1. The rider or facility calls to say they are ready.
  2. Open the will-call and activate it. The pickup time is set to now.
  3. Recommended drivers are offered, ranked by who is genuinely closest and free, taking the required service type into account.
  4. Assign one. The trip joins that driver's route and behaves like any other trip from that point on.
