A no-show is a rider who did not present within the waiting window your organization has configured. It is recorded by the driver at the door, because that is the only place the fact is actually known.

The sequence

  1. The driver arrives and marks arrival, which starts the waiting window.
  2. If the rider does not present, the driver records a no-show and selects a reason.
  3. The trip closes as a no-show, with the reason and the timestamps attached.
  4. The vehicle's remaining route is recalculated without the stop.
  5. Any linked return leg is flagged so dispatch can decide whether it still needs to run.
