Whether drivers may cancel their own trips is an organization-level policy, set by an administrator in Settings. It is enforced by the platform rather than by training or convention.

What a driver sees

Where cancellation is permitted, the driver selects a reason and, if your policy requires it, adds a description. Where it is not permitted, the action is declined with the reason shown on screen — the expectation being that the driver contacts dispatch, who can cancel on their behalf.

For administrators

  • The policy lives with the rest of your operational rules under the organization profile.
  • It applies to drivers only; dispatch and admin cancellation is governed by their own role capabilities.
  • Changing it takes effect on the next action, not retroactively.
